Pamela Joy Lee, age 73 of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Winchester on August 10, 1951, to the late Rufus A. and Barbara S. (Sims) Britton. Before her retirement, Joy worked for many years as a cosmetologist. She enjoyed doing handwork such as cross-stitch, crocheting, and drawing, as well as collecting gnomes and other knickknacks. Known for her “green thumb, Joy loved working in her flower garden. But above all, she enjoyed spending time with family, especially taking trips to the beach with her grandchildren they were the twinkle in her eye and the light of her life. Her full-of-life personality and honest nature combined with her loving and caring heart made Joy seem like a real-life superhero to those around her. A devoted Christian woman, she truly loved the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, Mickey Britton; and three grandchildren, Peyton, Nevaeh, and Chase Lee. Joy is survived by her loving children, Aleasha Peters (Susan Clark), Neena (Robert) Trevarthen, and Shawn (Hope) Lee; grandchildren, Madyson Roland, Allison Peters, Chaz Wimley, Mallory Trevarthen, Faith Hoover, Joshua Peters, Shelby Hoover, Brittany Trevarthen, Andy Trevarthen, Kevin Trevarthen, and Karen Trevarthen; siblings, Faye Tallman, Sam (Cindy) Britton, Mark (Lisa) Britton, Curtis Britton, and Jeff Britton; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 22, 2024, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Plunkett officiating.
