Funeral service for Pamela Gay Parsley Steelman, age 59, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 1 PM on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Smith, Rev. Ann Hatcher, and Marsha Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Booneville Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be from 2 PM until 5 PM on Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home.

Pam was born on October 26, 1964, in Nashville, TN, to Gay Lewis Parsley and the late Joe Allen Parsley. She was a 1983 graduate of Lincoln County High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University (now MTSU). Pam worked as a Sales Rep for Cellular One and as a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep Smith Kline Industries. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Pam passed away on November 6, 2023, at St. Thomas Rutherford, in Murfreesboro, TN.

Pam had a bigger than life personality, much like her daddy, a spitting image. She dearly loved people, and loved living life to the fullest. Sitting still was not in Pam’s nature, she enjoyed traveling, spending time with her beloved family and friends, and playing practical jokes. Pam also had a heart for giving, from buying gifts for her friends and family, picking up stray animals and finding them a home, to her final days, as a tissue and bone donor, giving the ultimate gift of life.

Survivors include her mother, Gay Lewis Parsley; sister, Heather Parsley; aunts, Nell Parsley (Carl) Moore, Mary Parsley St. John; extended bonus family Colt, Corrie, Breanne, Taylor, Amy Ann, Bridget, Curt; her dedicated friends who stood by her side during her 31-year battle of systemic lupus, Marsha Hale, Marcia Cannon, Cindy Gray, and Denise Robertson; second mother, Ruby Jane Twyman; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Pam was preceded in death by her father, Joe Allen Parsley; husband, Raymond Earl Steelman; uncles, Danny Parsley, Joe Lewis, and Dean Lewis; aunts, Patsy Parsley Rutledge, Janet Lewis Prater; second mother, Andrea Toon Long; and many cousins and friends.
