Pamela Gail Hackney, 63, of Blountsville, Alabama, was welcomed into heaven by her loving Father on January 17, 2022. Pam was born June 9, 1958, in Cullman County, Alabama, to Milton and Carlene Bailey Estes.
Pam was a member of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church and she enjoyed worshiping her Savior with her friends and neighbors. Mrs. Hackney had a servant heart, and God used her sweet spirit as she served as a home health caregiver for many years. Pam worked taking care of others until the time her health declined. Pam enjoyed the mountains and traveling – but her true love was her family. She was married to her best friend for over forty years, and she was a wonderful mother to their two children. Pam was an adoring grandmother, and she spent every minute she could with her two grandsons. Pam not only loved without reserve, but she was also loved by her family with the same intensity. Even though our hearts are rejoicing that Pam is with the Father, our hearts will miss her greatly.
Pam is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Carlene Estes.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Timothy Hackney; son, Kevin Ray and Sherri Hackney; daughter, Amy and Justin White; brothers, Gene and Annette Estes, Phil Estes; sister, Sandra and Jerry Reynolds; and her precious grandsons, Kason and Kable White.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hackney are 11 a.m., Thursday, January 20, 2022, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, Brother Jerry Hackney and Brother Earl Harper officiating. Burial will follow services in Rock Springs Cemetery where Little Jerry, Jeffery Reynolds, Ricky Chestnut, Josh Reynolds, Josh Estes, Tim Jones, and Brandon Herdon will serve as pallbearers, with Gary Estes serving as honorary pallbearer. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday evening, January 19, 2022, at the funeral home, from 6 p.m., until 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a cancer society of your choice, in memory of Pam.
Holly Pond Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hackney family.
