Pamela Diane “Pam” Thompson, at age 62, succumbed to cancer at 11:13 AM on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024 from Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Pam spent much of her life in this area as a cook/server in the hospitality industry. Her last employments were Kelly’s Grocery in the Palmetto Community and Thomas St. Grocery in Tupelo. Pam was known for her loud talking, sincere interest in others, and her zeal and zest for living. She could play a devilish joke on you instantly, laugh about it and hug you in the end. Her humor, her steadfastness, her loyalty and her independence will live on as her legacy as we all remember this unique, special lady whose quirky personality and voracious laugh and booming voice will live on in our hearts. Thank you Pam for being our friend!!
At her request, there will be no public services. Her cremains will be placed in her favorite fishing hole where she stated she hopes the fish grow in wisdom and stature from her contribution. Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo Chapel is honored to handle her final requests.
Pam is the last member of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Gandy and Frances Knight Gandy, her husband, Mel, and a brother.
