Pamela Irwin Pamela Ann Irwin, age 53, passed away in her home on Monday, January 2nd, 2023, in Pulaski, Tennessee. Pam was born on September 20, 1969 in Columbia Tennessee to the late Johnny B McGaw and Ruby Ragsdale McGaw.
Pam was one of kind and found beauty in everything. She had a caring heart and even though she didn’t have much to give she was always willing to listen and comfort you no matter what. She lived a life full of love, she was immensely proud of her two children Hannah Farmer and Harley Norman and her biggest dream was for them to be happy. She made sure to teach them how to find happiness in even the smallest, darkest places. She encouraged them to never stop chasing their dreams. She lived her life for her children.
She adored her grandchildren Elaina and Alyson Farmer more than words could ever describe. She called them her pearls because they were so precious to her. She was the best NeNe to them and their favorite person. She loved the sound of their giggles and the way they would hold her face in their little hands. She loved to read to them and would have long conversations. In a busy world where everyone is always rushing, she truly made time stand still when she was spending it with them.
Pam was stronger than most and definitely more stubborn. No one knows this more than her loving family including her Sister Debbie and Brother Johnny. Pam was an old soul who enjoyed spending time with the elders of her family, Maudie and Ludie, they were her role models and she cherished them and their memory her whole life. She spoke often of her memories of spending time with them rocking on their front porch. She was fond of the old days when things moved slow and people just loved each other.
Pam excelled at expressing her feelings through writing. She journaled often and loved to read. She collected quotes, poems and lyrics that she found meaningful. She was creative and passed that down to her children. She was unique, funny, sometimes a bit crazy and I am sure everyone that really knew her could tell you at least one story about her that would put a smile on your face.
Pam will be remembered differently by all those that she touched in her life. Mother, NeNe, Sister, Aunt, and friend. But her memory will always be carried by those that loved her close to their heart and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children Hannah (Jeremy) Farmer and Harley (Kayla) Norman. Two Grandchildren Elaina and Alyson. Two siblings, Debbie (Phillip) Vandiver and Johnny (Tina) McGaw and her nieces and nephews. Brandon, Ashley, Makayla, Weston and Aniston Finley. John McGaw and Justin, Tiffany and Emersyn Vandiver.
A celebration of life for Pam will be Friday, January 6th, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN with Steve Seaton officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation an hour prior to the service.
Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
