Palmer “T” Clark, 86, resident of Blue Mountain, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 15, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Visitation will be from 2 PM to 5 PM Thursday, August 17 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. A private burial will be in the Blue Mountain Cemetery.

Mr. Clark was born May 18, 1937 in Benton Co., the son of the late Benjamin “Benny” and Dovie Irene Smith Cark. He received his education in the Palmer Public School System in Tippah County and was employed as a logger and a service technician for Coombs Gas Co. before retiring.

An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Clark will be remembered as a simple man who enjoyed watching westerns and Wheel of Fortune, playing washers, “tinkering” with anything that had a motor, attending estate sales and Sunday trips to Tunica. Many characteristics can describe Mr. Clark as he was honest, ‘straight to the point’, a “wheeler and dealer” but also caring, friendly and giving. A great family man and friend, the good memories and time shared together will always be cherished.

Blessed with a large family, memories will continue to be shared by his wife of 23 years, Melinda Presley Clark, two daughters, Terri Campbell (Michael) of Blue Mountain and Courtney Nutt (Sammy) of Ripley, one son, Bobby Clark (Cindy) of Blue Mountain, three sisters, Celia Clark of Blue Mountain, Betty Henry and Ann Kelly, both of Ripley, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and a special family friend, Chris Bennett.

He was also preceded in death by eleven brothers.

Because of Mr. Clark’s love of animals, the family request that memorials be directed to the Yellow Rabbit Rescue, Venmo is @Sheila-Clifton-2 or PayPal is yellowrabbit1959@gmail.

The Ripley Funeral Home invites you to share memories.
