Otis Oakley, 97, of Brooksville, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015, at Decatur Health and Rehab.
Funeral will be Friday, March 6, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Priceville with Earl Holt officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Oakley was born September 10, 1917, in Blount County to Murray and Adeline Oakley. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, William Oakley and Maybell Holt; son, Allen Oakley; and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Ruby Oakley; nine children, Bobby Oakley, John Oakley (Lisa), Mike Oakley (Cathy), Faye Morrison (Don), Judy Hagen (Butch), Susan McDonald (Kenneth), Jennifer Tucker (Keith), Ann Jones (Jimmy) and Tonia Yarbrough (Kenneth); 24 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
