Othell Patterson, age 89 of the Dogtown community, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at his residence. Mr. Patterson was born on May 22, 1934 to the late Jim & Opha Knight Patterson. He retired from Sara Lee Bakery, Ben-Mar Hosiery and spent many years as a Meat Packer. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2024 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Walkers Chapel Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home and from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service on Friday.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Eloise Freeman Patterson; sons, Darrell (Kim) Patterson, Jeff Patterson and David Patterson; step-sons, Steve Gorham and Nick Gorham; brother, Verlon Patterson; sister & brother-in-law, Betty Doolittle (Larry); and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
