Oscar Wayne Wright Jr.
September 21, 1951 to July 16, 2022

Oscar was the son of the late Oscar Wayne Wright and Jeanette Rodgers of Washington Pennsylvania.
He married Dovie Sullivan on 5/8/1071 at Shiloh Church of Christ in Hazel Green, Alabama.
Mr. Wright served 20 years in the U.S. Army which included one tour in Vietnam.  He retired in 1990 while in Germany. He also Served the State of Texas for 16 years and retired.

Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his father and mother as well as his son: Anthony Neil Wright;  Brothers: Bob Wright, William Wright, Edward Wright, and sister: Anna Marie Wright.

He is survived by his wife: Dovie Wright; son: DeWayne Wright (Johanna), Son: Nathan Keith Wright;  Daughter: Beverly (Jason) Perry; granddaughters: Michelle Perry, Sherry Wright; Grandsons: Kurt Perry, Dale Wright and Collin Wright; Brother: Ken Wright; Sister: Betty Jean Hooper and honorary brother and sister: Ken and Ava Stremmel,

At his side as he was passing were Dovie Wright (Wife), Beverly Perry (Daughter) and Michelle Perry (granddaughter). With him prior to his passing was DeWayne Wright and wife Johanna Wright, granddaughter Sherry Wright, grandson Collin Wright; son in law: Jason Perry;  Ava and Ken Stremmel, Tom Allen and his wife, Elaine.

Nurse Bonnie was present and aiding in keeping Oscar comfortable and supporting the family. Bonnie was the weekend nurse from Scott and White Hospice team.  Oscar was seen by several members of the Scott and White Hospice during his final days.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12pm until 2:30pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  A funeral service will follow at 2:30pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Charity Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: David Ashby, Delbert Sullivan, Gerald Naler, Wesley Key, Ronnie Sullivan, Jerry Sullivan with Donald Sullivan serving as alternate.
