Wakefield, age 96 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away March 27, 2022 at his home. He retired from Fontaine Trailer as a inspector, worked for Alabama Power delivering appliances, later worked with Pinkard Funeral Home, where he was called “PawPaw” by the staff. He was a member of First Baptist Church Haleyville.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Haleyville. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Jim Cooley officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Oras is survived by his children, Marlon (Sandra) Wakefield and Elaine Wakefield (Warren) Miller; grandchildren, Shane (Heather) Wakefield, Celeste Miller, Amber (Brad) Taylor, Lance (Emily) Miller, Blakeley (Jared) Spann; and great grandchildren, Cody Wakefield, Brodie Spann, Liam Taylor, Finley Miller, Ella Kate Spann, Reid Miller and Drake Miller.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin “Wallace” and Martha Lenore Wakefield; and his loving wife of 76 years, Jewel Dean Wakefield.
