Ora Arlan Smith Ora Arlan Smith (72) of Livonia, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2020, after a brief period of declining health. A graveside service will be held in Earleyville, Tennessee on Thursday, July 22, 2021 @ 1pm at Charles Creek Cemetery.

 

Born January 9, 1948, Arlan was a former Centertown, Tennessee resident and a proud veteran of the United States Army. He began his government service less than three months out of high school in August 1966. He proudly served his country in the US Army for 20 years, which included 3 combat tours in Vietnam, before retiring in 1986. He went on to serve an additional 20 years with Customs and Border Patrol, before retiring as Chief on 10/22/2011.

 

Arlan was preceded in death by his parents Lucy and Virgil Smith, and brothers Ernest (Velda) Smith, William (Lorraine) Smith. He is survived by his wife, Rhevelle Wright-Smith and stepson Paul (Angie) Wright of Peoria, AZ and his grandchildren Kelsey Grace & Colton Wyatt as well as sister Jenel (Ike) Farrer and Earl (Elizabeth deceased) Smith plus many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be missed by all.
