Ophelia Woods Willoughby 79, of Huntsville,AL died Monday, July 13, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama.
Born Monday, October 20, 1941 in Hazel Green, AL, she was the daughter of Preston Woods and Emma Hill Woods. She lived most of her life in north Alabama area. She loved gardening, fishing and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, James “Doc” O’Dell Willoughby; and grandson,Jake Marlow.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Hilliard, Huntsville, AL; daughter, Lejeania (Alan Cates) Wood, Elkmont, AL; sons, Randy (Tracy) Marlow, Prospect, TN, Rodney (Melanie) Willoughby, Ardmore, AL, Gaylon Hilliard, Harvest, AL, Randall (Lynn) Hilliard, Moulton, AL, and Gary (Diane) Hilliard, Harvest, AL; brother, Otis Woods, Highland, IN; sister, Jewel Tucker, Highland, IN; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL, at 3:30 PM with Bro. Steve Hargrove officiating. Pallbearers will be Boyd Evans, Greg Edwards, Robert Lee, Greg Thornton, David Harmon, and Glyn Usery.
