Opal Marie Allen Seal, 90, of Montgomery, formerly of Muscle Shoals, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2015. Mrs. Seal, also known to her family as Odie, Odie Pearl, Pearl’s Oldest Girl, and Mammaw; enjoyed a career as a seamstress for most of her life and being a proud grandmother the rest. Also, she was excitedly awaiting the arrival of her first great grandson in August.
Mrs. Seal was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Tuscumbia for over 50 years and the Mother’s Roundtable Charity Group in Montgomery for four years.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral will be held at 12 noon Monday in the chapel, with the Rev. Larry Smart and Rev. Darrell Pace officiating. Burial will follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Seal is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Fike Seal; parents, Leslie Russell and Mary Pearl Allen; and sister, Cratus Seal.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Seal Holden (Leon); grandson, Charles Blake Holden (Beth); and brothers, Bobby Clayton Allen (Brenda), James W. Allen.
Pallbearers will be Blake Holden, Steve Hargrove, Mike Allen, Roger Bradford, Gary Seal, and Andy Lane. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Seal and Kenny Pearson.
