Opal Lene Luffman of Franklin, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2024, just 4 months prior to her 98th birthday. She was born in Lawrence County, Tennessee to the late Loyie and Leona Williams Wilburn on October 18, 1926. She was a former member of the Highland Park Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. She retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company and greatly enjoyed sewing, painting, and traveling.

Opal was predeceased by husband, Albert (Preacher) Luffman; granddaughter, Ashley Hope Luffman; sisters, Genell Corbin and Edith Jacobs; brothers, Arlie Wilburn, Eullan Wilburn, Odell Wilburn, V H Wilburn, G W Wilburn, Terry Wilburn, and Jackie Wilburn.

Survivors are sons, Gary (Vikki) Luffman, Randy (Debbie) Luffman of Franklin, Tennessee; daughter, Wanda (Fred) Francis of Foley, Alabama; sisters, Frances Corbin of Leoma, Tennessee and Brenda Jean Leatherwood of Algood, Tennessee; five grandchildren: Heather, Mollie, Haley, Taylor, and Hunter; and five great-grandchildren: Cason, Channing, Sepra, Cameron, and Christian.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, great-grandsons, and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Wednesday, June 26, 2024. A private interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to Highland Park Baptist Church Building Fund.
