Opal Gail Rhodes Eaton, 76, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at NMMC in Tupelo, MS. She was born in Dennis, MS to Clyde A. and Ollie O. Turner Flurry. She worked in garment manufacturing and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dennis, MS.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 4, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. David Gould officiating. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Dale Eaton; sister, Wanda Stanfield; children, David Rhodes (Gloria), Tammy Hammock (Mark), Christy Harris (Kane) and Jason Rhodes (Ginny); grandchildren, Zoe Hammock (Ry-Shawn), Morgan Browning (Andrew), Taryn Rhodes, Canaan Harris, Chloe Jones (Chase), Kade Rhodes (Amelia) and Konnor Rhodes; great-grandchildren, Karter Rhodes and Aiyden Burress; nephew, Wayne Stanfield (Camille); step-children, Jim Eaton (Lynn), Becky Barnes, Jason Eaton (Jennifer); step-grandchildren, Kyle Eaton (Kasey), Jonathon Barnes (Amber), Allie Eaton, Roren Eaton, Dustyn Barnes, Addisyn Barnes and Blake Eaton and step-granddaughter, Kylie Eaton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; special grandson, Christian Harris and her first husband, David Rhodes.
Pallbearers will be Jim Eaton, Kyle Eaton, Jason Eaton, Jonathon Barnes, Wayne Stanfield and Adam Stanfield.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
