Onus Ray King Onus Ray King of Jackson TN, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the age of 86.

Onus was born on May 24, 1935, to G. Colby and Delana King in Bemis, TN. After Onus graduated from J.B. Young High School in 1953, he joined the United States Air Force, serving from 1953 to 1958.

He attended the Central Technical Institute in Kansas City, MO from 1958 to 1960. After receiving his degree, Onus accepted a job with Vitro Services as an electronic technician and he and his new bride, Shirley (Belch), a hometown girl, moved to Fort Walton Beach, FL. Onus and Shirley went on to have two daughters, Sandi and Beth. Onus worked for Vitro Services for 37 years and upon retirement in 1997, he and Shirley moved back home to Jackson. In retirement, Onus worked a few odd jobs, served in his community and in his church, Englewood Baptist.

Onus was predeceased by his wife (Shirley), his parents, his sister (Gladys Nell Brewer), and his two brothers (Dr. Darrell King and Reubin King).

He is survived by his two daughters, Sandi Johnson (Ray), Beth King (David); four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 8, 2022. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM as well as on Friday, April 8 at 10:00 AM prior to the service.

He will be laid to rest in Ebenezer Cemetery in the Malesus Community following the service,
