Online Registration Now Open for Trapping Workshops

November 2018 Alabama Hunting News MONTGOMERY-The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) is offering a series of youth and adult trapping workshops throughout the state this winter. Participation in the workshops is free for youth ages 7 to 17, but registration is required. There is a $10 registration fee for each adult who attends a workshop. These educational workshops provide instruction on the historical aspects of trapping, biological information about furbearers and furbearer management, and the proper techniques of using trapping as a sound wildlife management tool.

All workshops are limited to 25 participants. The workshops are recommended for ages 7 and up. Youth ages 7-15 must be accompanied by an adult. Youth over 16 are not required to have an adult present, but it is recommended.

  • December 4-5, 2021, in Greenville, Alabama
  • December 11-12, 2021, in Talladega, Alabama
  • December 18-19, 2021, in Centreville, Alabama
  • January 8-9, 2022, in Leeds, Alabama
  • February 12-13, 2022, in Hollywood, Alabama
  • February 19-20, 2022, in Spanish Fort, Alabama
  • February 26-27, 2022, in Troy, Alabama
