ATHENS-The Athens Police Department executed a search warrant on Friday, January 8 which resulted in the arrest of one suspect. Here is a statement issued by Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson:
“Investigators with the Athens police department executed a search warrant Friday at 18606 North Jefferson Street. Investigators seized 22 grams of crack cocaine, 3 hand guns, 2 rifles, 2 shotguns, ammunition, 3 cell phones, loaded hand gun magazines, marijuana seeds, diazepam tablets, tramadol tablets, 7 grams of marijuana, digital scales and $582.00.
Investigators arrested Willie Hardy Jr. and charged him with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana 2nd degree and possession of paraphernalia. Hardy was transported to the police department where he was booked and then transported to the county jail. “
