One Suspect Arrested In Home Depot Theft

DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department made an arrest of a suspect accused of  Theft of Property Second Degree.  The Decatur Police release a statement regarding the arrest of one suspect:

“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On December 18th, 2015, at approximately 4:17pm, the management from Home Deport filed a theft report with the Decatur Police Department. According to management, an employee by the name of Sammie Jo Sales made multiple transactions, activating several pre-paid name brand gift cards without paying, for a total of $1,285.00 dollars.
Det. Selby De León with the Decatur Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit was assigned to the case.
On January 5th, 2016, Det. Selby De León obtained a warrant for Sammie for the charge of Theft of Property in the Second Degree.
On January 6th, 2016, Sammie was located at her residence. She was transported to the Decatur Police Department, where she was booked in on the warrant. She was later transferred to the Morgan County jail in lieu of $2,500.00 dollars.
Theft of Property in the Second Degree is a class c felony.”
