One Person Dead Two Others Injured After Head-On-Collision In Blount County

ONEONTA-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle crash has taken the life of one person and sent two other people to hospital in Birmingham:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:20 p.m. Monday, November 13, has claimed the life of a Hayden woman.

Christina M. Bass, 45, of Hayden was fatally injured when the 2006 Pontiac Vibe that she was driving collided head-on with the 2014 Nissan Murano driven by Elaine Miller, 72, of Altoona. Bass was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. Miller and passenger Melissa Casey, 53, of Altoona were both transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for medical treatment.

The crash occurred on Alabama 75, approximately four miles north of Oneonta, in Blount County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
