WINSTON COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle has taken the life of one person:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, has claimed the life of a Bankston man.
Walter D. Watkins Jr., 52, was fatally injured when the 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and overturned. Watkins Jr. was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 13 near U.S. 278, less than one mile west of Lynn, in Winston County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
