DEKALB COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a traffic fatality in Dekalb County on Friday, October 27 resulting in the death of one person:
“A single-vehicle crash at 9:55 p.m. Friday, October 27, has claimed the life of a Virginia man.
Ernest Lynn Barnhouse, 49, was killed when the KIA Sorento, in which he was a passenger, left the roadway and overturned on Interstate 59.
Barnhouse was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Matthew Ray Abbott, 42, of Virginia was transported to Dekalb Regional Hospital for his injuries.
The crash occurred five miles south of Collinsville. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
