One Dead In Traffic Accident Near Athens

ATHENS-Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a traffic fatality near Athens on Thursday, May 26:

“A single-vehicle crash at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, claimed the life of a Tennessee man.

Rodney Lynn Bryant, 52, of Lewisburg, Tenn., was killed when the 2010 Honda Civic he was driving left Alabama 251 at the 5 mile marker, four miles north of Athens and struck a utility pole before overturning. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
