ARAB-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a two-vehicle accident that has taken the life of one person and sent three others to hospital:
“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. Friday, September 15, has claimed the life of a Grant man.
Kevin M. Clements, 20, of Grant, was critically injured when the 2009 Nissan Cube, in which he was a passenger, collided head-on with the 1999 GMC Sierra driven by Floyd Pierce Jr., 61, of Guntersville. Clements was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was transported to Huntsville Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Nissan, Ashley Payne, 20, of Grant was transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. Pierce, and passenger Christy Kelley, 60, of Guntersville, were transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. A 1-year-old passenger of the Nissan was also transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on Alabama 69, approximately six miles east of Arab, in Marshall County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
