MADISON COUNTY-The Madison County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement concerning a shooting that took place on Sunday, March 20. This shooting resulted in one person being killed:
“Madison County Sheriff’s investigators are investigating after a man was shot and killed at a resident in the 100 block of Lockport Drive in Harvest late Sunday night, March 20.
911 call-takers received calls around 10:45 pm to report shots fired at the residence. Deputies arrived and found a man with numerous gunshot wounds to the body. HEMSI and volunteer firefighters attempted to provide lifesaving measures but the victim died at the scene.
The victim has been identified as Brandon Lee Craig, 33. The offender was identified as Sean Justin Burns, 35. Burns was arrested and charged with Murder. He is currently in the Madison County Detention Facility with a $75,000 bond.
Both subjects knew one another and were present at the residence during a domestic-related incident. Both subjects got into an altercation which resulted in the victim being shot.
