VINEMONT-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident near Vinemont, involving a motorcycle has taken the life of one person:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. Sunday, September 8, has claimed the life of a Holly Pond man.
Derek L. Humphries, 36, was fatally injured when the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a guardrail. Humphries was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Interstate 65 near the 316 mile marker, approximately three miles north of Vinemont, in Cullman County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
