JASPER-ALEA reports an auto accident that occurred near Jasper, claiming the life of a Jasper man:
“A single-vehicle crash at 10:20 a.m. Saturday, June 4, has claimed the life of a Jasper man. Michael Wiley Gossett, 73, was killed when the 1998 Chevrolet pickup he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
Gossett was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham where he died at 12:35 p.m. The crash occurred on Burrows Crossing Road, near Drummond Road, five miles north of Jasper.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
