DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department received a forgery report filed by TVW Electrical Supplies on July 14, 2014. Here Is how the Decatur Police describe the ongoing investigation:
“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On July 14th of 2014, TVW Electrical Supplies filed a Forgery report with the Decatur Police Department. An unknown person forged and cashed checks against the bank account of TVW Electrical Supplies. During the course of the investigation, Michael Stephenson Holmes and Tyrie Louis Shields were developed as suspects.
On July 18th of 2014, warrants were obtained for the arrest of Holmes and Shields for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree and Theft of Property in the Second Degree. On January 15th of 2015, Holmes was located in Birmingham, Alabama and arrested. Officer Juan Penualas was dispatched to the Birmingham County Jail to returned Holmes to Decatur.
Holmes was processed into the Decatur City Jail and then transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument in the Second Degree is a Class C Felony.
Theft of Property in the Second Degree is a Class C Felony.
Tyrie Louis Shields is still at-large.”
