MADISON-The Madison Police Department was making a routine welfare check on a residence in the Carrington Apartments in the 2000 block of Flagstone Drive in Madison around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11 when they discovered a man with a short-barrel rifle. An arrest was made of one man, Alex Cameron Berryhill.
Police obtained a search warrant and discovered a suspicious device that resembled a pipe bomb along with several guns. The bomb squad from Huntsville was called in to investigate.
Alex Cameron Berryhill, age 25, has been booked into the Madison County Jail and is being held on a $250.00 bond.
