Funeral service for Ona Mae Porter, 96, will be Monday, September 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Williams officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Porter died on Friday, September 15, 2023. She was born February 15, 1927, in Lawrence County, Tennessee, to George Warner Ferrell, Sr. and Madgie Shelton Ferrell.
She was a Seamstress and Supervisor for Fly Manufacturing and also worked for Prestolite on their assembly line prior to her retirement. She was a faithful child of God and a member of the First Holy Church of Christ in Decatur, Alabama.
Preceding her in death were her husband: Clarence Junior Porter, a son: Kenneth Neal Porter, her parents, brothers: Sylvester, Johnny, George and Jamey Ferrell and sisters: Molly Garrad, Nancy Schaffer, Iva Stutts, Pearl May, Marie McGee, Belle Hughes, Frances McMahan and Ruth Vaughn.
