Funeral services for Ona Kathleen Whisenant were Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Arnold Bracken and Bro. Kennard DeVaney officiating.
Burial was in Mountain Springs Cemetery in Moulton.
Mrs. Whisenant died Monday, Dec. 10, at NHC Healthcare of Moulton. She was born Jan. 10, 1932, in Lawrence County to Mance Hamby and Mattie White Hamby. She was a retired seamstress for Lawrence Corporation. Mrs. Whisenant was a member of Owen Chapel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Whisenant.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law, Hoyt Whisenant.
Pallbearers were Ronnie White, Gary Hamby, Bill Crump, Wayne White, Steve Summersett andShane Whisenant.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry Whisenant, Billy Rhodes, Larry Self, Reno Morgan and Delmer Parker.
