Ollie Geraldine “Gerri” Philhart, age 77 of Middleton, passed away Monday morning, July 4, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Ollie Geraldine Philhart was born Tuesday, September 20, 1938, to the late Herman Gentry and Alice Moe Barnett Gentry in Memphis, TN. Ollie was licensed practical nurse for twenty years and retired from FedEx after twenty plus years. She was a member of the Porters Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed golf, travel, and gardening with flowers. She spent most of her life in Memphis until she moved to Middleton four years ago.
She is survived by a son, Jim(Debbie) Philhart; three grandchildren, James Philhart, III of Middleton, Jeremy(Dawn) Philhart of Nashville, and John Philhart of Nashville; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Philhart and James Philhart, IV; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Martha Gentry; three brothers, Bobby Gentry, James Gentry and Melvin Gentry; and her parents, Herman Gentry and Alice Moe Barnett Gentry.
