Ollie B. Flakes was born on February 25, 1955,
to Mablene Montgomery Lipsey and Willie
Lipsey. Ollie Flakes was a faithful member of
Tupelo Healing Apostolic Temple. She was under
the leadership of Bishop Cleveland Smith and
First Lady Charlene Smith.
Ollie Flakes departed this life on Tuesday
evening, October 10, 2023, surrounded by the
love of a devoted family, at the North Mississippi
Medical Center, she was 68. She enjoyed cooking,
singing, reading the Bible, and spending time
with family. We miss her dearly. May her soul
rest with our Lord and Savior.
She is preceded in death by her parents:
Mablene Montgomery Lipsey and Willie Lipsey;
grandson: Jeremiah Flakes and her sisters: Lola
Stovall (Leonard), and Betty Higginbottom.
She leaves her everlasting lasting love and
memories with her husband of 42 years: Ronnie
Flakes; (6) daughters: Felicia Lipsey, Mashonia
Lipsey, Susan Walton, Peggy Shumpert, Justine
Flakes and Kanesha Flakes; (2) sons: Ronnie
Oneal Flakes and Micheal Flakes; (1) sister: Peggy
Weatherspoon (Early); (3) brothers: Eddie
Montgomery (Clara), Willie Montgomery (Emily)
and Jonny Lipsey; (23) grandchildren; (14) great-
grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and
church members.
