Olene Simmons, age 97 of Jasper, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at her residence.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery. Larry Brown will officate.
Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her Husband-Rex Simmons; Sons-Jim and Johnny Simmons; Parents-Gilbert and Essie Tidwell Short; Sisters-Dean Akins, JoAnn Ingle, and Ruby Hatcher.
She is survived by her Daughters-Sandra Gross(Greg) and LyAnn Bailey(Keith); Sisters-Judy East and Helen Nixon; Brother-James Short(Doris); 6 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.
