Olean R. Nicklas, of Potomac, Md., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late John H. Nicklas and mother of Jeffrey H. Nicklas, Brian D. Nicklas, Martin A. Nicklas, Stephen A. Nicklas, and John E. Nicklas. Mrs. Nicklas is also survived by her siblings, Frances Hamm, Barbara Prescott, Roy Gene Rutland and Jerry Rutland.
Friends will be received at Pumphrey’s Colonial Funeral Home, 300 W. Montgomery Ave. (Route 28, Exit 6-A, just off I-270), Rockville, Md., on Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Falls and Dunster Roads, Rockville, Md., on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Area Wheelchair Society, 8220 Mayor Lane, Silver Spring, MD 20910, or to Montgomery Hospice Society, 1355 Piccard Drive, Rockville, MD 20850.
