Ola Mae Hindman Stafford, 96, departed this earthly life for life eternal on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from her home in Hamilton, MS. She was born on September 20, 1926 in Okolona to Elijah Franklin and Donia Morris Hindman. She attended school in Okolona and lived there until she moved to Hamilton in 1999 after her husband Charles Stafford passed on. She was a housekeeper but enjoyed relaxing at home and gardening. When she was not in the garden, she could be found on the creek bank fishing. Ola Mae was a member of River Bend Baptist Church in Aberdeen.
A service celebrating her life will be held Monday, January 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the Okolona Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Roy McHenry officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm till service time on Monday. Burial will follow the service at Boone’s Chapel Cemetery. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving their friends.
Ola Mae is survived by her daughter Judy Weaver, her son Lee Vaughn, her grandchildren; Grover Abbott, Tommie Lee Abbott, Christopher Lee Vaughn, and Bobby Franklin Weaver, 7 Great grandchildren, and 4 Great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, Brothers; Luther Hindman, Leroy Hindman, and James “Toter” Hindman, Sister Minnie Ray Hindman Scrivner.
