MONTGOMERY – On Monday, Alabama’s official Christmas Tree will be delivered to the state Capitol. This year’s tree, donated by Robbins Taylor, Sr., is an Eastern Red Cedar arriving from Letohatchee, Alabama.
The approximately 35-foot tree will be displayed on the front steps of the state Capitol building. After its delivery Monday, the tree will be adorned on the days following with lights and decorations.
The delivery and tree decorating come ahead of the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, which is scheduled for Friday, December 4 at 5:30 p.m.
