Officer Involved Shooting In Tuscmbia Turned Over To SBI

officer+involved+shootingTUSCUMBIA-An officer-involved shooting that happened this morning, Friday, December 2 resulting in the death of one person that happened around 1:30 a.m. during a traffic stop in front of the Fred’s Discount Store on Woodmont Drive has been turned over to ALEA:

“Special Agents with ALEA’s State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) are investigating a Tuscumbia Police Department officer-involved shooting at the request of the Tuscumbia Police Department.
The shooting occurred during the course of a traffic stop on Woodmont Avenue at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2.

 The subject, who was reportedly armed with a firearm, was pronounced dead on the scene with an apparent gunshot wound. 

Once the investigation is complete, the findings will be turned over to the Colbert County District Attorney.  Nothing further is available as the investigation is ongoing.”
