Odette Rita Edler Schneider, 86, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 11, 1929 and died in Huntsville, Alabama on December 21, 2015. She is survived by two sons, George A. Schneider, III and his wife, Susan, of Greencastle, Indiana and Stephen Karl Schneider, Sr. and his wife, Lynne, of Huntsville, Alabama; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Michelle, Erika, Stephen Jr., and Krystle; and eight great-grandchildren Macie, Taryn, Wade, Maggie, Max, Darren, Hailey, and Emma.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, George Antoine Schneider, Jr. and her mother, Madelyn Ann Hartman Edler Janin.
Visitation will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Huntsville, Alabama on Monday, December 28 from 10-11 a.m. followed immediately by a funeral mass officiated by Father Phil O’Kennedy. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd, St. John’s, or Our Lady Queen of the Universe’s Building Fund.
