Odean Sims Pierce, 89, Moulton, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Cottage of the Shoals, Muscle Shoals.
She is survived by sons, Oneal Pierce and Mary Lue, Moulton, Donnie Pierce and Delila, Muscle Shoals; daughter-in-law, Zora Pierce, Town Creek; grandson, Keith Pierce and Taffy, Moulton; granddaughter, Dawna McAfee, Town Creek; stepgrandson, Chris Putman and Kim; stepgranddaughters, Carla Maples and Brian, Latasha Ellenburg; great-granddaughter, Peyton Pierce; stepgreat-granddaughter, Zoey Grace Putman; nephew, Dwight Terry and Sue.
Pallbearers will be Keith Pierce, Dwight Terry, Lovis Steadman, Delbert Pierce and Brian Maples.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayburn Pierce; father, Rufus Sims; mother, Maude Flannagin Sims; sons, Bobby Pierce, Wendall Pierce; brother, Alton Sims; sisters, Olena Terry, Opal Sims.
She was a member of Gum Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed by G.C. Lingerie and Cowan’s Sportswear. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lawrence Funeral Home, Moulton. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Brother Terry Settles and Shane Letson officiating. Burail will be in Moulton Memory Garden.
