MUSCLE SHOALS – Northwest-Shoals Community College (NW-SCC) will host the SkillsUSA Northwest Alabama District competition on the Shoals campus for over 200 high school students Friday, March 9, 2018, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Students will compete in 21 Career Technical and Leadership contests. Career technical competitions include: Automotive Service, Carpentry, Cosmetology, Diesel Equipment Technology, Electronics Technology, Technical Drafting, and Welding.
Twelve (12) schools will be competing in the Northwest Alabama District.

- Florence High School
- Franklin County Career Technical Center
- Haleyville Center of Technology
- Lawrence County Center of Technology
- Limestone Career Technology Center
- Muscle Shoals Career Academy
- Russellville High School Career Technical
- Winfield City High School
- Winston County Technology Center
The top four winners in each category will advance to the state competition April 23-25 in Birmingham.
