MUSCLE SHOALS & PHIL CAMPBELL-In accordance with Governor Kay Ivey’s announcement today (5/21), Northwest-Shoals Community College will begin the summer  semester, first mini-term and full term, remotely.
All courses scheduled to begin the week of May 26th will do so remotely for the first week. On campus courses will resume their normal schedule beginning Monday, June 1.
According to NW-SCC President Dr. Glenda Colagross, the College has gone to great length to provide a safe environment for students on campus. “We will provide masks for all students and employees, will have additional sanitizing equipment, and will have structured on-campus classes to abide by six feet social distancing requirements.”
The summer semester first mini-term and full-term courses begin Tuesday, May 26. The summer eight-week term begins Tuesday, June 2, and the second mini-term begins Thursday, June 25.
President Colagross went on to state, “I know this will be an unprecedented semester for the College, but I have seen how hard our faculty and staff have continued to work during this time. We will get through this together stronger than we were before, and I believe our students will be more motivated to achieve their educational and career goals.”
Registration for all terms will continue in a virtual format. For more information on registering for the summer or fall semester, please visit nwscc.edu/2020-summerfall-registration.
