MUSCLE SHOALS & PHIL CAMPBELL- Northwest-Shoals Community College (NW-SCC) is providing a Last Dollar scholarship for all students who register for the 2020 summer semester. The deadline for this scholarship is May 15, 2020.
“This scholarship is intended to help students apply for any unused Federal Financial Aid funds,” said NW-SCC Assistant Dean, Dr. Crystal Reed. “These funds along with the Last Dollar scholarship are aimed to help students prepare for their future while saving time and money. We want to encourage students to apply early for federal aid. Those not receiving federal aid will qualify for the scholarship.”
The scholarship will include one free class (savings of up to $632 for a four-hour class). To qualify for the scholarship students must complete two steps:
1) Students must have completed their application for admission at https://www.nwscc.edu/
2) Students must complete the 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA can be submitted online at www.fafsa.gov, and the NW-SCC school code is 005697.
Current students must have a 2.5 grade point average.
Students taking advantage of the Last Dollar scholarship will be given the opportunity to register for academic or technical courses. The summer semester begins May 26, 2020, for full and first mini-term classes; June 2, 2020, for the eight-week term, and June 25,2020, for the second mini-term.
