MUSCLE SHOALS-Northwest-Shoals Community College (NW-SCC) and the University of West Alabama (UWA) will hold an agreement signing ceremony Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 2 p.m. on the Shoals campus. The agreement will make a seamless transfer process for students and create additional scholarship dollars for NW-SCC students at UWA.
The NW-SCC and UWA signing ceremony will feature NW-SCC President Dr. Glenda Colagross, UWA President Dr. Ken Tucker, and other college representatives.
The articulation agreement allows UWA and NW-SCC to have a clearly defined transfer process that includes academic advising, enhanced communication, and scholarship opportunities. NW-SCC students with a minimum 2.0 grade point average and 45-50 transferable credit hours are guaranteed admission at UWA. Also, students who complete their associate’s degree at NW-SCC are guaranteed admission to UWA.
