TUSCUMBIA-Northwest-Shoals Community (NW-SCC) and the Alabama Technology Network (ATN) will host the 2016 National Partnership for Environmental Technology Education (PETE) Instructor Conference on the Shoals campus Tuesday, March 29th – Thursday, March 31st.
The 2016 PETE Instructor Conference, CCCHST Refresher, & NESHTA Regional Conference is on: “Stresses Impacting the Delivery of your Environmental Health & Safety Training Programs” Including: Climate change, funding, changing demographics, college attitude toward hands on, aging instructors/trainers, OSHA enforcement, use of smartphones/apps – technology, etc.
Approximately 33 participants will take part in the national PETE Instructor Conference from as far away as Portland, ME.
A primary focus of the conference will be Wednesday, March 30th, when the conference participants engage in hands-on hazmat chemical spill training at the Muscle Shoals Regional Training Center in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
