Novie Alexander Patton, 89 of Double Springs, entered into rest on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
Mrs. Patton was born on March 22, 1925 in Double Springs, Alabama to Smith and Annie Stacks Alexander. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and the Black Pond Fire Department Auxiliary for many years. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 11am -12 noon at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 1pm at Williams Cemetery in the Black Pond Community. Brother Mickey Millican will officiate.
Mrs. Patton is survived by her daughters, Janice “JP” Patton; Carol Patton and her husband, Kimball Swift; she was “Nanny” to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Donald Virgil Patton, who passed away on October 2, 2014; her parents, Smith Alexander and Annie Stacks Alexander; son, Gary Patton; infant daughter, Barbara Gail Patton; and twelve siblings.
