Novella Merriman Brown, age 79, of Liberty, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015 at TriStar Skyline Madison. She was a native of Cannon County.
She is survived by her children, Charlene (Barry) Thaxton of Alexandria, Audrey (Bobby) Martin of Liberty, & Lorie Evone Brown of Liberty; Sisters, Florene Miller of Woodbury & Lillian Ford of Dearborne, MI; 12 Grandchildren, Lisa Simmons, Jamie Brown, Tisha Hendrixson, Allen Ashford, Dana Rae Stanley, Julie Moore, Samantha Florida, Benjamin Tate Brown, Kristy Grandstaff, Alex Brown, Leah Grandstaff, & Justin Florida.
She is survived by her parents, Thomas Jefferson Merriman & Susie Ferrell Merriman; Husband, Jim Lester Brown; Sisters, Florene Miller of Woodbury & Lillian Ford of Dearborne, MI; Daughters, Donna K. Florida & Sandra Lee Grandstaff; Granddaughter, Gidget Ashford; & Great Grandson, Landon Grandstaff Patterson.
27 Great Grandchildren also survive.
Ms. Brown was a member of the Baptist church and a housewife & caregiver.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow at Sycamore Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1 to 8 PM Monday & 9 AM ’til time of service Tuesday.
