Nova Jean Michael, age 85, of Horton, passed away on December 29, 2023. She was born to the late Ralph and Noler Corbin, and her life was a testament to love, devotion, and faith.
Jean was a cherished member of High Point Baptist Church for many years, where her unwavering faith and dedication left an indelible mark on the congregation. Her commitment to her spiritual community reflected the values she held dear throughout her life.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Jean’s legacy extends through the lives of her survivors. She is survived by her devoted husband, Delbert Joe Michael, Sr., and their loving children, Pamela Jean Lazar (Frank) and Delbert Joe Michael, Jr (Rhonda). Jean’s nurturing spirit and warmth will continue to be felt through her 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, she is also survived by her brothers, Gerry and Jerry Corbin; sisters, Patricia Lewis and Betty Holderfield.
A funeral service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 2, 2023, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with Bro. Larry Camp officiating. Prior to the service, friends and family are invited to gather and share their memories during the visitation period, which will commence two hours before the service at the funeral home.
Assisting Mrs. Michael to her final resting place at High Point Baptist Church Cemetery will be: Chad Fieger, Tim Michael, Heath McCoy, Braedy McCoy, Josh McCoy, and Joseph McDonald.
Nova Jean Michael’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who had the privilege of sharing in her life’s journey.
