FLORENCE – Today, a local convenience store was robbed. Not usually a news-maker of a story. What makes this different is that the perpetrator (Perp) stole a donation box for a child who is awaiting a heart transplant.
It all took place today at the Lil’ Steve’s on Pine Street this morning, shortly before Noon. At the cash register counter was a small collection box where Good Samaritans had been putting their change for the past couple of weeks. Without warning somebody decided that he needed the cash more than the child, and so he liberated the collection box and split through the door into his car. Seemed like a plan at the time.
Little did the perp realize… He was on camera.
