FLORENCE – Well, it was a big day for the North Alabama Medical Center. Today is the first day of actual operations… After nearly an 8 year struggle to have the facility approved by the State of Alabama, and then to get it built and equipped with state-of-the art equipment.
This was the day that the existing 130-or-so patients at the now-closed Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital were transferred to the brand-spanking new facility.
No photos of patients were taken to preserve their privacy.
